Webslingin’ August 2007

Peace and hair grease to my good folkers out there! Here’s another little rundown of some of the latest and greatest found online. Make sure you check out all the blogs and MySpace pages, for more goodness from the Canhead/Kayaro camp! We are about to hit September like a fireball, with blazing performances all month long, so stay tuned. In the meantime and in between time, check the style out.

-Urb Magazine always brings the latest in all things funky, and their blog sites are tight as well. The blog section at Urb has info on Upper Playground, Yeah Yeah Yeah, Duck Down and more, while the features section is stocked with Photos from Rock The Bells, Sean Kingston and Dizzie Rascal & UGK!
-Looks like Hip-Hop is once again being targeted as the scapegoat, with Michael Vick’s latest dog fighting case being linked to Hip-Hop. MTV has an article asking the question, Does the Vick Case Hurt Hip-Hop Music?

MTV News also has the story on DMX and the raid at his Arizona home. A dozen pit bulls were removed from his house along with weapons, but he was not arrested. Vick has been defended by Stephon Marbury and Jamie Foxx as well, and many are asking how this “sport” that has existed for centuries, went this long without much comment. Is the general reaction to the dog fighting or is it pent up feeling against Vick? As the story unfolds, I’m sure we will hear many more opinions on the subject.
-Remy Ma has taken the title of “The Baddest Bitch” to another level. Remy’s new mixtape “Shesus Khryst” is causing as much controversy as her legaa trouble and attempted murder charges. Remy’s DJ talk about the upcoming mixtape and the real meaning behind the title at HipHopDX.com
